My pretty flowers Dave sent to me in California for my birthday (back HERE) made it all the way home safe and sound.
Oh man I love flowers.
And I love him.
Sometimes my breath gets taken away with desert sunsets.
Pictures can never do them justice but there is something in me that makes me habitually take out my cell phone to try.
It's like I wouldn't be appreciating them fully if I didn't.
Lunch with some girlfriends:
Some of the cutest blog readers and fellow parents of a BBS child near Lucy's age who live in Switzerland sent us some awesome hats.
It was so fun to reminisce all those great old college days with them...
I love our pear tree blossoms.
...and I'll take them even if they are the culprits as to why my allergies have been worse than ever this year.
Claire has a phobia of losing teeth.
Like, for real life. It is bad. She freaks out when one is loose and won't eat on it, brush it, let anyone touch or even look at it.
I'm telling you she may have to get counseling or something!
So when I successfully pulled out two big honkers in one night in the midst of calming her way through her wailing and thrashing, I call it a humongous success.
These girls think Elle's new wallpaper is pretty awesome.
I taught Grace a little lesson on headshots since she had her first photoshoot.
You know it's talent when you can take your own "selfie" with an SLR camera!
Dave snuck these two oldest kids away to ski for a couple days before tennis and volleyball season got into a full-blown swing.
Sometimes, when my allergies aren't killing me, I get to walk this cutie pie to school.
I love that she knows I love leaves in any form (HERE).
And brought along Dave's parents and uncle for a visit.
And this is a glimpse of one of the reasons I love the desert so much:
Grace had her last real game for cheer:
...with a cute awards ceremony after.
My sister-in-laws and I took these kids to a college gymnastics meet. Claire was in hog-heaven.
She wants to live and die by gymnastics these days and gets the biggest sparkle on her face when I get there in time to watch her at the end of her practices.
We got our "certificate of occupancy on our new house" on Valentine's Day.
I love to walk in on Lucy doing this:
Claire got to go roller skating with the cutest friends:
Over President's Day Dave met up with cousins to ski with these two lucky girls.
I have spent a good deal of time at pharmacies and doctors in February. I have had two doses of steroid shots and some serious antibiotics. Boy howdy it's been a crazy spring.
Elle did one of the most beautiful photo-shoots I've seen of a family who has just adopted a new baby. More pictures and thoughts coming soon but for now here's one I couldn't resist snapping from my phone.
Dave got to go on a "business" ski trip. Now that's how it should go:)
I dragged these cuties to IKEA to try to figure out handles for the house. They magically turned into every character from "Frozen" in all the make-believe places they found there. Loved it.
I must really love my teenagers cause this is what I made them at midnight for one of their big practice for the grand temple opening.
Lu and her never-ending art ideas:
These three girls worked their tails off doing a lemonade stand and got to spend their winnings at the 99 cent store.
I love Sundays when we have time to make our favorite rolls (over HERE).
Elle's deep into tennis (hence the clothing) and also deep into driving exactly how her mother drives:
FHE at Costco without the whole family because Dave opted to stay home with sleepy Lu.
Look who we happened to park by on the right:)
One of my sweet Young Women who is now quite a great little lady brought us a treat from her new job:
Thank you sweet Lauren!!! Love you!
Ok, on to March Madness.
Bring it on!
(Now that I'm finally not feeling like I'm walking in a dream drugged up on allergy medications...let's hope this sticks!)
