This morning I’m so happy to have those wise words of conference echoing through my head. I love that when I listen to conference with questions in my heart, certain messages speak to me and give me my own inspiration as to how to cope with the different things I’m worrying about.
I loved Elder Scott’s talk about parenting.
I loved Elder Cook’s talk about peace (at least that’s the part that spoke to me since my 2013 word is “peace”).
I loved what Sister Wixom said about how we speak to children, and how Elder Perry reminded me we can never underestimate the power of the adversary.
(You can listen to any of those by clicking on the “listen” button by their name here…I think I’ll re-listen to a few of today while I’m folding laundry, cause I always need a little inspiration while I’m doing laundry.)
I loved hanging out with my family and letting all those words of wisdom wash over us together.
…and making our traditional conference cinnamon rolls.
…and having some neighbors over for a pot-luck in between conference sessions.
One of my favorite highlights of the day was getting Max home. He had a volleyball tournament in Hawaii of all places last week (I know, lucky boy…more on that later), and was supposed to get in on the red-eye at 7:00 a.m. but didn’t get in until 1:30. We were so excited to have him back (we missed him so much!) and soak in the last part of conference together.
My heart is just so full of gratitude for family. For my church. For leaders with such inspired wisdom. And for sites like lds.org where I can hear it all again when I need it.
