camera sale

post-edit note: WHOA!! That was a great response on all this stuff! I just wanted to say that everything has multiple buyers except for the 18-200 as of right now. I have to run to the school right now but I'll e-mail those who requested first to talk payment info. when I get home this afternoon.

Let me know if you're interested in the 18-200!

As much as it kills me to do it, I'm posting my Nikon stuff here for those interested in purchasing it.

I'm a total nerd and kept all the boxes and cases except for the Quantaray one. Prices are based on low-end of averages from completed listings on e-bay and don't include shipping.

So here are the goods:

Nikon D200 camera body (with extra battery) -- $475
(click here and here for reviews on this camera)
I think I have talked this camera up so much already and I don't want to be redundant, but man oh man I just have to say it one more time: I love this camera! I wish I could afford to keep it, but I must come to terms with allowing it to make others happy besides myself (I really am dramatic, huh?) This camera is priced a little lower because the black rubber grip is a little worn and loose around the shutter button on the grip and on the back...and the camera strap is a little worn. But it would be much cuter with one of these anyway.

Nikkor 17-55mm f/2.8 lens -- $950
(click here for detailed information and 66 five-star user reviews)
Probably the single toughest thing about switching to Canon is that I have to leave this lens behind. It is my favorite of the favs. because it is so crystal clear at a 2.8 and it has such flexibility as a zoom lens. I very rarely took it off my camera. Perfect condition with lens hood and black protector bag still unopened in original box.

Nikkor 18-200mm f/3.5-5.6 lens -- $500
(click here for more info. and reviews)
I had to wait on waiting lists for months to get this baby. A great lens if you are looking for serious flexibility in your zoom. I love that it goes all the way from 18-200. Original "Nikon" lens cap has been replaced with generic one but it is in perfect condition with lens hood and black protector bag still unopened in original box.

Nikkor 50 mm f/1.8 lens -- $70
(for a review on this lens click here or here)
My favorite portrait lens before I got my 17-55. Incredibly sharp even in low light at a super low price. It is a prime lens which means you can't zoom in and out...your feet and body need to do the walking instead, but this type of fixed lens is what I'm getting for my Canon because they tend to be so darn sharp. Perfect condition, original box and all that jazz.

Nikon SB-800 speedlight (external flash) -- $350
(click here for reviews and here for more info about this flash)
As we all know, flashes straight from the camera aren't very flattering. I love this flash because you can bounce it from wherever you want for great shots when you don't have enough light. This speedlight has pretty flawless reviews. Perfect condition.

Quantaray 70-300mm telephoto lens (made to fit Nikon cameras) -- $70
(click here for a bunch of reviews on this one)
Dave bought me this lens to go with my first Nikon camera and at first I was worried because it was a Quantaray instead of the real Nikkor deal. BUT I fell in love lickety split with this thing. At the beach, basketball, at the Olympics in Beijing this is pretty much the only lens I used. It has the best depth of field and I LOVE to be able to really zoom in...on water skiers behind the boat or on runners or kids on stage, it's awesome. I still can't find one to even drool over for my Canon full-frame. Perfect condition.

There you go. Let me know if you're interested! If you'd rather e-mail me my e-mail is sepphotography at gmail dot com.

I would love to know what got you into photography initially, how you got started, and what you've learned along the way (AND what editing software you use - Lightroom??).

I know, I know. Totally selfish request, but your images fascinate me. And I just wonder how you get There. To that Place that seems so elusixe to this particular stay at home mom.
